Everyone knows you’re not supposed to run with scissors. How about a walk with clippers? Hubby brought along his pruning clippers, but I didn’t ask what he had in mind. He grew up on an orchard, so he often prunes as a way to relax, but not usually on a walk. But he has been known to prune a neighbor’s tree on request.
We walked along this trail below our house, where there is a stream and a lot of nature — even a dead possum floating in the creek and snakes on the path. The oak trees have green leaves and others trees are flowering, it’s quite pretty, even though I get allergies.
On one of his previous walks, he saw a tree, which he thought had mutated from the original oak. It looked like it was struggling to survive — a new species –as it only had a few green leaves and its branches were knotted.
This was the tree that was going to get a little pruning. I snapped some pictures and kept my eye on the path — in this neighborhood we could get arrested for pruning a tree on the path. Especially a mutant.
